Recognition of a Customer's Expectation of Privacy

Protecting your privacy, along with your financial assets, is our top priority. You have selected us as your banker and First National Bank recognizes our obligation to keep the sensitive information you have entrusted to us secure and confidential. We maintain policies designed to assure the appropriate use of information about our customers. Our commitment to protect your financial information will continue under the principles and guidelines described below.

Collection and Accuracy of Information

We collect, retain, and use information about our customers only where we reasonably believe it would be useful (and allowed by law) to do the following:

  • Administer our businesses and provide products and services to our clients.
  • Identify you and protect your accounts from unauthorized access, fraud, and identity theft.
  • Inform you of financial services and products that meet your needs.

We strive to ensure that information maintained is accurate, current, and complete in accordance with commercial standards. First National Bank does not sell or share nonpublic personal information with unrelated third parties. Service providers (such as the ones mentioned above) that help us provide services to you or help us market our products are bound under the terms of our contracts with them to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide to them and are restricted from using the information for any reason other than what is specified in the agreement.

Limiting Employee Access to Information

Our employees access information about you when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise meet your needs. We may also access information about you when considering a request for additional services or when exercising our rights under the law or any agreement with you. We safeguard information according to established security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access and we continually assess new technology for protecting information. Our employees are trained to recognize the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy. First National will take appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary to enforce our privacy policy.
